Got Equipment?
by posted 12/17/2017

If you are like many of us, you have some extra equipment (gloves, pads, sticks) that haven’t been used for a while and your spouse would love if they found a new home. While we are fortunate to live in a community where many of our kids are getting new equipment this holiday season, there are a lot of kids in other communities that are not. The majority of those kids haven’t even had the opportunity to experience lacrosse. Here is a chance to make everyone happy. We will be collecting used equipment and sticks over the next week to donate to the Winners Lacrosse Program (winnerslacrosse.org). This program is aligned with many of our principles of using lacrosse to teach life skills. They have established over 20 teams in the DC metro area (ages 5-14) for kids that would have otherwise never have had the opportunity, and it is completely free of cost for their players. Our support would allow more kids to experience lacrosse in a safe and fun environment.

To make it convenient for you, we have established two drop off locations listed below. Please put all equipment in a plastic bag (sticks can be loose) and leave it at one of the locations between Monday Dec 18th and Weds Dec 27th. If you have any questions please contact Eric Parente ( ) or Anita Eastin ( ).

Have a great holiday and we look forward to seeing many of you at winter skills or in the spring.

      Registration for Spring Season ONLY

            - Deadline is midnight, January 15th, but a late registration will be accepted (with a late fee) until January 31st

Refer to the "Register Online" link on the left hand menu to sign up for:

Winter Skills - for the U10, U12 & U14 age groups.  The age based clinics are typically held on Saturday or Sunday afternoons (depending on the facility availability) at varying times through January and February. The clinics are optional but we do recommend players attend these clinics.  They are professionally run and provide the boys a signification jump on the spring season.

Spring Season - for the U8, U10, U12 & U14 age groups.  Avon Grove Lacrosse is a member of the CCLA (Chester County Lacrosse Association). Teams are organized by age and then practice and play other teams in the Chester County area. Practices and teams are organized toward then end of February, through the month of March, and then the first games are played usually at the beginning of April and lasting through May.

Please see the following reference, Season Overview and Facts, for more information about the organization, the season and an overall time line.

The CCLA (and AGL) has changed age groups to conform with the new U.S. lacrosse recommendations.  Groups are determined by age as of August 31, 2017.  A brief explanation, along with guidelines and questions some people have had in the past with regards to registration, are here: Registration F.A.Q.

If, after you have read the registration faq's, you have any questions or problems, use the Feedback link on the left menu to contact us. Someone will respond with an answer in a short amount of time.

Thank You,

Avon Grove Lacrosse
