Enhanced Learning and Competition

Subhead: ages, facilities 

This is the first level where young lacrosse players wear full pads and helmets, and take part in half-field play against rival teams. This stage is pivotal, focusing on the Movement ABCs—Agility, Balance, Coordination, and Speed—melded seamlessly with fundamental lacrosse skills.


  • Basic Skill Enhancement: Continual focus on mastering catching, throwing, and cradling.
  • Advanced Individual Skills: Introduction to sophisticated skills like dodging, shooting, and defense techniques.
  • Strategic Concepts Exposure: Initial exposure to fundamental strategic concepts in team offense and defense, laying the groundwork for advanced learning.

Eligibility

Boys enrolled in 1st and 2nd grade

Practice and Game Schedule

Practices are two days per week starting the first week after the time change in March.  New player clinics may be held in February based on field availability.


Games are played in a "play-day" format where teams take place in a three-game, mini-tournament each weekend.  Games will take place in April and May with exact dates to be determined based on the league schedule.

Uniforms

Players are required to wear the Avon Grove Lacrosse uniform at all games.  Uniforms can be ordered during registration.
